Imagine no more: your dream can be a reality in the Longview subdivision, located near Tom Short and Rea Roads in the coveted Marvin-Waxhaw area of Charlotte’s southern suburbs. Consisting of exclusive neighborhoods like The Club at Longview and The Enclave at Longview, this community enjoys low Union County tax rates and the benefit of some of the best schools in the state—not to mention easy access to greater Charlotte via I-485. Truly, you’ll be hard pressed to find a reason not to live here. Welcome to Longview.

History

The Marvin-Waxhaw area has its roots back in colonial times, when the first settlers began farming this land years before the Revolutionary War. The area remained a largely loose-knit agricultural community for many years until the arrival of the railroad in nearby Waxhaw in the 1880s, at which time textile mills began springing up to process the cotton grown by local farmers. These days, the Marvin-Waxhaw area continues to preserve its rural country charm despite the urban sprawl of nearby Charlotte, with wooded drives, rolling countryside and the small-town feel of nearby Weddington and Waxhaw.
