Catharine Pappas is the mastermind leader of Dickens Mitchener’s award-winning relocation department. As a native Charlottean, Pappas brings a wealth of intimate knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and attention to her job of transitioning families to and from the Queen City.

Pappas is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a degree in economics. After college, she began her career in real estate working for Coates, Reid & Waldron, the largest real estate company in Aspen, CO. Before joining the Dickens Mitchener team in 1993, Pappas worked in Washington, D.C., where she worked as the office administrator for a successful congressman.

Pappas has more than 20 years of relocation experience and also holds many impressive relocation designations. She holds her Certified Relocation Professional (CRP), Relocation Certified Coordinator (RCC) and Global Destination Specialist (GDS) designations. She also assisted Dickens Mitchener in solidifying some strategic memberships with the Employee Relocation Council (ERC), the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World™, the Charlotte Chamber Economic Development Council and the Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council.

Under Pappas’s powerful leadership, the relocation department has been honored with numerous awards for outgoing and incoming referral performance and marketing. The department was recently re-certified for the prestigious RELO Quality Certification (RQC), a designation that is held by less than 4% of the top real estate companies in the world, and in 2012, Dickens Mitchener won the International Properties Award for best real estate company in North Carolina.

Relocation Coordinator: Anna Plyler

Anna Plyler is a North Carolina native and proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned degrees in Journalism and Spanish. She brings years of experience as a marketing executive and advertising coordinator to the Dickens Mitchener team.

In her role as Relocation Coordinator, Plyler places and manages thousands of incoming and outgoing referrals for the relocation department. Her marketing background, which includes advertising and public relations experience, has honed her ability to multitask and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. Plyler has a passion for helping the relocation department succeed in seamlessly transitioning individuals to the Queen City, as well as helping find their niche when life takes them elsewhere.

Plyler also creates all of the relocation department’s custom relocation packages, brochures, presentations, advertisements and flyers. She is also responsible for creating and maintaining online content in her role as Website Manager. She authors the Dickens Mitchener blog and manages agent profile pages, statistics and video content across the website.

As a native Charlottean, Karen Rockecharlie shares a great excitement and passion for her hometown, and loves introducing newcomers to the Queen City’s hotspots and hidden treasures. As a graduate of Myers Park High School and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Charlotte roots run deep and her knowledge of the region is quite extensive.

Rockecharlie spent 13 years in business development in the fashion industry before transitioning into real estate. In 2014, she proudly joined Dickens Mitchener’s relocation team as Development Director. In her position, she assists Relocation Director Catharine Pappas in building and maintaining strategic corporate relationships, ensuring more transferees choose Dickens Mitchener and thus benefit from the customized move management services offered by the firm’s award-winning relocation department.  She uses her keen networking abilities to secure new business for the firm, and promotes the benefits of working with Dickens Mitchener’s full-time, real estate professionals, who set the regions standard for innovative practices, client satisfaction and outstanding results.

Rockecharlie is also in charge of Dickens Mitchener’s Client Services Center, a one-stop shop for individuals and families who are planning a move. She has extensive experience assisting clients with their downsizing needs, no matter what the circumstances surrounding the move. With intimate knowledge of Charlotte’s neighborhoods and an impressive list of contacts, she is able to navigate her clients through the sometimes overwhelming task of selling their current home and then making the move into a smaller residence or even a retirement community.
